- If the Time program doesn't actually save the time, that means that the clock
- isn't running for some reason. Assuming a software fault, the way to fix it is
- to use the command

- setclock reset

- in a shell, set the time and save it, and see if it works. This time of clock
- lockup can be caused by some very badly misbehaved software which writes to the
- clock (usually by accident, during a crash).

- If this solution doesn't make it, perhaps the battery has failed, or some
- other problem has occured in the hardware.
